Hi,
I bought a couple of soap refills and I don't have the original containers (one isTabac). I have a couple of ceramic holders to put them in.
Can I just put the soaps in the holders without making them fit exactly?
Thanks.

Well usually if they fit in anyways. Are they glyscerin soaps cause then you could melt them into the containers
Hi there, I don't believe either of those soaps will react well to melting. They aren't glycerin based, and heating em up can do some serious damage. I'd recommend you find some container that the pucks will fit in (more or less). I think you'll find that after a few times used, the soaps will stick to whatever you put em in. You can also try sticking the puck to the container by using a little hot water, pressing down to seat it a bit, and letting it sit for a while. Hope that helps, Martin
Yes, don't melt these. The other way to reform the hard soaps is to use a cheese grater and then press it into the container. Or find a close fititng ziploc plastic container and stick it in there.

Those types of soap can be shredded in a cheese grater and put into your container then dampen with a few drops of water and pack down. Good to go.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I will avoid trying to melt them down.
There is no clay listed in the ingredients of the AOS soaps.
I suggest you just buy some ziplock plastic containers and put the soaps in them. Works like a charm and makes them easy to travel with. Plus you don't have to mess with grating the soap etc. Hope that helps.
