Anybody ever try it for straight shaving? My first attempt was less than stellar. Next attempt, I whipped it up in a bowl with my brush and a drop or two of water. Nice lube. Clean shave.

No.. I tried a few different things but not that. ...and stay away from the trader joe's cream! It tarnished one of my WAPI's.
I found that after I learned to make a decent lather with my soap and brush.. just using that (from our resident soap-mistress) was better than the other stuff I've tried.. like the headblade cream.
What I am after is a decent aftershave for my head. The Nivea sensitive stuff I use for my face is not doing the job well enough!
My pop uses this stuff called "HeadLube". He loves it and can't stop talking about it. He even uses it on his face. I think it's funny that it comes in different finishes, like Glossy or Matte.
Well, after using it for a couple of days I think that I will stick with my old Williams Mug Soap. I have a big tube of this stuff so I may experiment with it some more but it didn't make the front row.
