Has anyone tried the sandlewood from classic shaving?
I've bought it, but haven't actually used it yet. My eShave soap is nearly dead, but I've been enjoying the Vulfix Sandalwood cream that Ray also sells. The sandalwood soap smells very nice. Everyone that's used Ray's soaps love them.
I have tried Ray's vanilla, bay rum, and sandalwood. The sandalwood is my favorite with a very pleasant scent. The vanilla has a strong scent and the bay rum stings on the second shave.
I have tried vanilla, it is absolutely the best scent for me, i love vanilla. I havent tried the other scents, but i am shure i will, after my treepack is gone.
Ray's soaps are awesome! I love the Bay Rum, and just yesterday ordered the Citrus Spice, and the Fresh Lime for a change of pace!
I discovered a new trick ..... I have a tube of the Cremo Cream Shaving cream, which is ridiculously slick on the skin! I tried using it in place of the Prorasso pre-shave cream, and it worked WONDERS! Not only provides an amazingly slick underlayer, but also enhances the Classic soap's lather when it is applied over the top of the Cremo Cream.
Ahhh.....new stuff all the time!
Gotta love it all!
I've tried it and it was great. I'm using the bay rum now, and its good; however, Im going back to the sandalwood.
I have used the citrus spice ( similar to old spice) and I am now using the bay rum which I love. I guess sandlewood is next. :P
This is the only area that mach3 shaving is cheaper. Can of colgate 1.29 last a couple of months. But who cares this is a better way to shave.
Thanks for the tip on the preshave. When I run out of Proraso I will try that next.
Sandalwood is my favorite of Ray's classicshaving soap. While traveling this past Christmas, I found some (NOS?) English Leather in Bangkok. Great stuff. It's my favorite shaving soap at the moment. Hope to snag some more when I return in June.
