Sorry, I was about to leave work after a rough day and just wanted to throw in my $.02 quickly.
I would say that the smiley rankings are mostly based on performance.
The sweet almond oil (unfortunately discontinued, get it while you can), is a top notch performer. Super slick, nice cushion, and very easy to work with, i.e. very forgiving with the water/cream ratios. The scent is enjoyable. It works well by itself, with a soap as a superlather, or as part of an Uberlather.
Easily in my top 3 favorites.
The Sienna and Nomad are good creams overall. I have both the creams and soaps in these scents, and while I like using the matching superlather, the creams by themselves are just OK. I would liken the lather cushion and richness to somewhere in between proraso and musgo real, but not quite as slick as either one.
Overall they're pretty good, and I like the scents, but for the same price point I much prefer the 3 T's. Which is too bad, as I really like the Nomad ASB and EDT.
The Sandalwood is the weakest cream in their lineup. No matter how much/little water/cream I've used, it still dries out mid-shave. It's not very slick, and it actually kind of burns my skin (not in a good way). The soap, well, I can see why it's discontinued.
The Naturals cream is a brush less cream. I haven't tried it and don't plan to.
I hope that helps a little more :D
I second the opinion on the sandalwood soap--neutral scent and sub-par for shaving performance, though I guess it's irrelevant if it's discontinued.
I didn't like the scent of the C&E stuff in the store -- so I've never tried it. As far as cremes that are available in the mall, I do like the Body Shop stuff -- it's got an interesting spicy scent (not bay rum, not cinnaminy), and it works well.

Natural... not for straight shavers. Not enough lubrication. I did only one pass, then finished my shave with William's soap.
I also tried Sienna. Good lather, good shave, ok scent but... NOT for sensitive skins. When I got back to get a sandalwood balm sample I gave my feedback to the lady. She told me that Sienna was the most scented cream they had, lot of fragrances. So avoid at all cost if you have a sensitive skin.
I got itches only from application, before I even started to shave.
But as I said, if your skin is not fragrance sensitive, it will be a good cream for you.
Personally I haven't found a difference in the C&E creams as to performance, only in the scents... I would rate their performance as a 8/10
The Nomad and Sienna I am not all that fond of but that is just personal preference...
Sweet Almond oil I love (if you can find it)
Sandalwood is a typical scent not great, not bad....
Seinna, works good, smells good...
like T & H better...but will probably get another tub of it...
