I think I'm finally going to give Mama Bear's a try, and man what a selection! Anybody have any favorites they would like to recommend?
Thanks,

Rosemary Mint. It's awesome and all EO.
Frankincense and Myrhh and Aromatic Pipe Tobacco are my two favorites I also like Ye Olde Barber Shoppe. I have a bunch of her soap and it makes great lather, my favorite so far I use it most frequently and have some other stuff including castle forbes creams that I haven't used in quite some time.
I have at least 15 different Mama Bear's soaps and the best flavor so far is "Cream Brulee". I actually licked this one. [Bad Idea] I also like "Turkish Mocha".

I've only tried her Rosemary Mint. If you're into that, try it out. Its the rosemariest mintiest!
Ive tried ye old barber shop (too lightly scented for me), awakenings (my personal fav), lavender vanilla (nice sweet scent) and spellbound woods (also very light)
If you like peppermint and menthol you will love the awakenings its nice and cooling and sooths the face.
ive also tried some of her cp bath soaps...and if the scents are the same...the energy smells awesome as does rosemary mint
i also would suggest the winter grapefruit so that you can try it and tell me now it is. I have some grapefruit bath soap from a diff supplier that i love
I have her EO Lavender, FO Almond, and Unscented. All of which are awesome :)
I have
Rosemary Mint (cream) - Good and cool for the summer. The mint seems to overpower any rosemary, but maybe I am just insensitive.:)
Roses (soap) - I got this for the wife's legs. It smells like roses on a warm summer day. Mmmm.
Lavender Vanilla (soap) - Smells delicious.
I have her Bay Rum Winter aftershave. If this an indication of her fragrance for the soap, it has top notes of clove and is a little on the egg noggy (if that is a word) side.
I like her products a lot, and am looking forward to trying more fragrances.
+1 on the Rosemary Mint soap. I have used that and the Unscented soap. With my water, the Mama Bear soaps give me flat out the best lather. With my lathering method, it only takes 15 circles on the top of the soap and I have enough thick thick lather to complete a shave and then some. It's awesome.

Rain Orchid for me. I'm sure it might change when I try more. I have four at this time. They lather like crazy. They are an excellent bargian. MikeB
I have only tried one so far and that is Sandalwood Vanilla. LOVE IT! My next one will be Spicey Lime.
I like the Turkish Mocha but it smells more of chocolate than coffee. The Indian tobacco is also interesting. Not what I was expecting. I was thinking pipe tobacco, it is actually tobacco flower, floral but nice. I am about due to order a couple more.
Dragon's Blood
Mama Bear has so many great soaps! I'm hard pressed to pick only a few...
1 Aged Spice
2 British Leather
3 Cedarwood and Lemon
I got 8 of her soaps, they all lather great my favorites would be the spicy lime and also the awakenings Lime Ice which if you are into menthol her awakenings soaps are great.
Beau Brummel is AWESOME.
Unfortunately it irritates my face and I can't use it. If you want it I'll send it for the cost of shipping. PM me. It's been used less than 10 times.
Thanks for the many suggestions guys. There is such a selection that it is almost overwhelming, and there are many that I want to try, but then again a life time of shaving is a long time! :D
Has anyone tried her seasonal favorites?
I'm about to order from MamaBear tonight or tomorrow, the selection is nuts! Even with this thread I can't decide either! Haha there just seems like so many good scents that would all be awesome!
EDIT: Aww she is closed until the 7th! Noooo!
You're right. Just way too many options! Spicy Lime should be here tomorrow. I e-mailed Sue late one night last week (about 10:45pm) to ask for her recommendations about a summer soap and one for the fall. She replied within 10 minutes and recommended Toasted Coconut or Tahitian Vanilla for the summer and Spiced Apple Cider for the fall. Mama Bear's has great service and a great product!!!
Preferences in scent are very personal, I would just go with what you like. I have found only minimal differences in performance from different scents. I have a man's skin (i.e. not very sensitive) and a man's attitude toward skin car (as long as it doesn't hurt, I don't care) so I can't give you any real input on things like irritation, dryness etc. You can check out various essential oil sites as to which might pose an issue (if you can tolerate the new age la-de-da most of these sites are filled with).
Of the ones I've tried so far, I'd say don't miss the rosemary mint or the spicey lime. Actually, scratch that, try them all :bow
