You should be able to just melt conk soap, it is glycerin.
Never try to melt any tallow based soaps.
Use a cheese grater or something and push the grated soap into its new container if tallow.

Depends how much you want to deform it. I simply put a small amount of water in the bowl and let it sit overnight. Next day just use the palm of your hand and push on the puck with a fair amount of force but more importantly constantly till it starts to deform.

I had some older [One Year Old] Oggalala Bay Rum soap that became a little light in the scent so I remelted and added a little of his Double Strength and stirred. It is back to it's original or maybe even stronger scent. This experiment has encouraged me to maybe try other mixtures. I have been looking at some Gucci for men that I have.

I like the idea of melting the soap down and adding your favorite scent that compliments. Sometimes it is hard to find the right soap with enough scent. Sometimes I just like to go with the scent of the soap using an unscented balm instead of a flavored aftershave.
Man, am I glad I stumbled onto this thread!!
I just received a sample 1 oz. puck of sandalwood from Colleen, and I love love LOVE it! The only problem I have is that I use a bowl that is nice and wide, so the first time using the soap it swirled around and I had to hold it in place. So now I'm on my way to my microwave for a little glycerin rearrangement.
Papa , yes the 1oz size are a little hard to work with, I ended up buying the 1oz bowl to fit that soap. The Sandlewood is great isnt it? I only ended up with it because I wanted to have everyone of her soaps, I never thought I was going to like Sandlewood as much as I do untill I tried Colleens now it has become one of my favs, but man they are all good. I would like to find a bigger bowl so I can melt two pucks of the Bay/ Sweet orange together. Im gonna ask Colleen if a bigger (Double Size) bowl can be made .
When you melt soap in the microwave, use 1/2 power....it works better IMHO....
