Out of curiosity, has anyone tried Birts bee's shaving cream? I saw some at the local store. I might pick up some. Someone please chime in if they have tried it.

Do not. It is a brushless cream and does not give you the required glide. Having used it myself that is my experience. YMMV.
ok, thanks. thats what I was wondering before I tried it.
Hold on there.
Always get more than one opinion.
It's been discontinued recently. I also did not like the lather, but it makes a very nice pre-shave face wash to soften whiskers. I've even read that one guy on these forums uses it as an aftershave balm.
I'll use up my tube sooner or later, but wouldn't buy it again.
If you have some of the shave cream you can use it with other soaps to made a pretty good lather, but the lather will come from whatever soap your using. Add an almond sized dollop to soap lather your building in a bowl or scuttle.
I didn't like it either.
I also tried the Burts Bees shaving cream and did not enjoy it. I ended up just putting a bit of it in with my soap for a good smell!!
I have tried a number of BB's products and, after the last one failed to work well for me, I will not order or buy any more. It's like they don't do any in depth research, aka the shave products, to find out what the target customers need or want. Also, much like Ben and Jerry's, BB's is not owned or controlled by the name sake, as they sold the Company a few years ago.
I don't know if they make it anymore, but they used to make a bayrhum shaving soap. It wan't to bad, but it didn't last very long either, went through an entire block in about a month and a half. It was about the right size to fint in the bottom of a coffee mug. I've since gon to using DR Harriss, and am maybe halfway through a puck that I started on better than a year ago.
I don't believe they make the shaving soap puck anymore either. I had similar results that people are describing with the cream with the puck of soap : lather that evaporates no matter how much you soak it, or scrub it with your brush. The lather just won't build. It does smell nice, and some members have ended up using it up as a shower soap. Even Williams makes much better lather than this. Please don't buy it. I'm sure others can suggest better with similar or better scents, especially in Bay Rum!
Burt's Bees still sells the Bay Rum pucks of soap.

Their after shave lotion is great as well. Less nasty chemicals...

Try everything once, but buy only what you like twice!
I use thier baby oil as a pre shave oil sometimes and like it, just one drop.
I have never used a preshave but wanted to try one. How do you do it with the oil? Apply it while getting ready, and then wash it off before lathering? I will have to pick some up next time I head to the store.
well I have no idea what others do and have only used the baby oil cause theres a baby in my house so other pre shave oil may be superior, anyway I shower and then dry my face abit open the bottle turn it over with my hand covering the opening so thats my one drop, and I warm it up by rubbing my hand togather vigoriously then apply over the face, for me mostly under the jaw line first then all over. give it 10 minutes or an hour what ever and yes I just rewarm my face with a little splash of warm not hot water then shave, with your regular routine
