I found MY new soap.............MWF!
I received it today and set it in an oversized vintage Old Spice (oh, the sacrilege) mug I had laying around. It ID of the mug was juuuust big enough; it was a tight fit.
This is the first tallow based soap I've used for shaving. I seemed to need to load the brush more or maybe it would be more accurate to say I needed more revolutions of the damp brush over the puck to load the proper amount more than the normal 25 revolutions on a Mama Bear glycerin (my preferred soap to date).
I also needed to work the lather more with the MWF than the Mama Bear (which pretty much explodes with little effort) but it was worth it. As thick and creamy a lather as I could ask for. I could cut it with a knife.
Nice glide. Excellent soap. I noticed lather on areas of my face that I shaved last did dry a bit. That doesn't happen with the Mama Bear (TOBS cream drys so fast with my hard water than I can't effectively shave with the stuff).
I just love the scent. When I Wiki some of the ingredients, orange and chamomile are mentioned. The scent is so faint, but it is there. I must have smelled this at some point in my life because it's vaguely familiar to me. My wife liked the scent right away which is of course a plus. I'm not a cologne guy, but if they made an MWF cologne, I would probably wear such a thing.
Finally, the lanolin moisturizing. Wow, does this soap moisturize my face. That's a huge plus given that the air in the house gets so dry during our Minnesota winters.
I'm in. I'm going to order more just to have a stockpile. Love at first shave.
