Just tried one of her soaps for the first time and it is amazing. It lathers like a dream and the smell is just right. Can't wait to buy more. Has anyone tried any of the fruity scents or the Frakinscense? I need some good ones to try.

I tried the eged Spice - very good
Tobacco Leaf Bulgarian Absolte-- very good real tobacco scent
I plan on trying one of her mentholated soaps.
I have the Frankincense and the Myrrh and got them just to find out about the scents. I have heard of these since my childhood from the biblical upbringing I had. I was not too impressed but the scents are pleasant. These scents are from the Middle East from berries from a bush of some sort and have been around thousands of years. The people didn't have as many choices back then for scent as we do today. I plan to use mine around Christmas time to get in the mood for the holidays. You can't go wrong with any of Mama Bear's scents. Get them all. One of my favorite's is "Gucci for him". The Sandalwood soaps are nice also.

I just received a tub of Mama Bear's "Marauders Citrus" 'Dominican Bay & Tangerine' shaving soap and it was really fantastic - it lathered beautifully and smelled great and best of all was really forgiving on my skin. I don't know if all the soaps are so easy, but I feel they must be. Great stuff!
Have a great morning!

The Rosemary Mint soap is one of my all time favorites. Great fresh mint smell and a slight minty tingle on the face. A nice fresh natural perky scent.

Mama Bear will send small sliver samples of any scent except Neroli for $1 each. She says good for one shave, but I get at least 2 from each. It is a great way to try a few. Go to the bottom of "Sample Store" window.
The only caution is that you might like them all so much you are no closer to choosing one or two
I just received my first order from Mama Bear yesterday, which included the Frankincense shave soap and Dragon's Blood cologne. Tried both of those out this morning. Great stuff. Her products are everything they're cracked up to be and the services is great.
Thanks, Sue.
Man, I have a dozen of her soaps, and not one that you guys mentioned....I don't even remember seeing any of those. She's either added new stuff, or I'm not in the right place...But, it's all good. I love her soaps, even her bath soaps are great....
P.S. I just checked her site, and found them. Did you guys see the video on there?
Gentlemen,
After hearing all the raving about Mama Bear, yesterday I finally broke down and ordered an unscented tub of this soap. Now I wait with much anticipation.
Regards,
Obie
I have tried several different Mama Bear's soaps. I have only tried one that I would call fruity and that is the Tahitian Vanilla. To me it has a strong sweet fruity scent.
I like to mix soaps and creams together in a scuttle and two of my favorite combinations so far are the Tahitian Vanilla with Cyril R. Salter's classic almond and the other combination is Mama Bear's Ye Olde Barbershoppe and Musgo Real creme. The Ye Old Barbershoppe is probably my favorite of Mama Bear's soap that I have tried up to this point. I have only tried 6 or 8 different Mama Bear's soaps and have enjoyed each one of them. I plan on trying many more of her soaps.
If you like fruity or citrus scents you may want to try her Mandarin Ice Summer After shave.
Not trying to hijack this thread, but which is better and why: Mama bears or MWF? Im sure at least 2 on this thread have experienced them both recently if I am correct...im looking at getting a new soap, but im still trying 2 decide which one to get!
I know I wont be disappointed with either, id just like to know why one may be preferable.
Thanks
Sir they are two different animals. One is glycerin and one is milled. MB works up a lather much quicker and her scents are fantastic. MWF takes some work to lather, but when you get it right it is a super rich lather and very lubercating and really no scent but soap smell lol.
So really not a good comparison, so get both.
I agree with Don, they are different animals. Both are great products. If you like to have different soaps in your rotation, you will probably end up with both.
Both will give you a comfortable shave. I find the MWF has a very creamy lather with a light clean soap smell. The MB soaps lather very well and come in a variety of great scents. The choice of different scents are amazing and she keeps coming out with new ones.
For me, both soaps lather quickly.I find with the MWF, the hotter the water the better.
Both MWF and MB are great soaps. They are different. You really should try to work both of them in to your rotation and decide for yourself which you prefer.
Ive tried the SRD unscented and I think the lather on MB is better. But thats just from my experience and I still think SRD's soap is great.
