    Default Soap Dish CHEAP

So, I've been looking for a CHEAP soap dish that is small and very manageable, that I could grate and press, or melt and pour my soaps into... I want it to be large enough to hold my pucks -post grating- but small enough to be dorm-friendly. I've seen several suggestions, namely Glen's sugar dishes from walmart, but those are too big for me...

Ladies and gents, I've found my 4 oz. container that I can grate my TOBS, TGQ, and any other soap pucks that come without containers of their own!

Thanks to the lovely Mama Bear's site: Travel Tub Travel Tub [other07] - $1.80 : Mama Bears Soaps and Gift Shop , Mama Bears Shaving Soaps and Bath Products for the Discerning Gentleman and Lady

Next time I order from her site -for shipping economy- I will be picking up 5 or so of these babies.- That way all my soap can have matching containers -mostly- and be very space friendly, easily lableable, and not too large.

Just figured I'd share this find for those of you who wanted cheap, utilitarian, break proof containers.

    Cheers, gents and ladies.

    Default Soap Dish Cheap

    Hello, Jeremy:

I ordered several of those Mama Bear 4 oz. tubs from Sue some months ago. They are perfect. Good choice.

    Regards,

    Obie

Thanks, Obie... What soaps have you put in them? I know that a puck of TOBS is 3.5 oz. and those containers say 4 oz. I'm wondering how well the TOBS fills the container out... I currently have my TOBS in a Schwarz soap cap, which works great, except that I use a bigger brush, and that gives me almost no lather room.. I figured a Mama Bear tub would be the right size.

    Thanks for stopping by

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

    Default Soap Dish Cheap

    Hello, Jeremy:

    Thank you for your note.

Thus far I have a puck of Mitchell's Wool Fat in one and it's a perfect fit. I have a Truefitt & Hill soap in another one. The Truefitt & Hill is not the tightest fit, but one shave and the water and the little lather seeping underneath act as glue.

I also have several aluminum travel tubs with screw on lids that I bought from Bull Goose. They are 4 oz. containers, which I will use for other soaps I want to try. I have tried the Taylor of Old Bond Street lavender and like it.

By the way, I use Mama Bear's unscented shave soap, which comes in one of those tubs, and love it.

    Regards,

    Obie

Thanks, Obie. Good to know the TOBS fit in the container just fine.

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

Jeremy, Go to Target or Wal Mart. They have these little pyrex bowls with plastic lids for a couple bucks. What's nice is, they're glass and you can see what's in them. They're great for grating and storing soap and they even have plactic lids, you can stack two, possibly three together...I have a pic on here somewhere....
