ok so i pulled the trigger on castel forbes. and sence flowers and fruit are not not what i want to smell like, i opted for the sandelwood . well the cream is not hyped at all,
its every bit as good as i was led to believe.
the sandelwood ceder sent was allso every bit as bad as i was told it was. smells like moldy sawdust. is there anyway to fix this? any ideas??
i hate to throw it out but its not useable as it is
Leave it open for a week or so. The smell should diminish, but not completely. The texture however will become more solid like a soap. Thats the trade off. Performance will still be up there.
I got a sample of it and quite like it. If you really hate it, I have some virtually unused TOBS cream and others Id be willing to trade it for.

The lime smells nice, but that doesn't really help you :/
i guess i should try to getalong with flowers anf fruit but being a truckdriver and smelling of flowers .... naw it just dont fit. maybe i should mix a dab of desel in it?or some isly single malt??ß hmmmmm
Well the lime doesn't smell feminine, and, even with the lavender, the smell DEFINITELY doesn't cling to you. Any cologne/aftershave will obliterate the smell, and it's just that much more pleasant while you're using itQuote:

If the scent is that foul to your nose then you could always save it for Uberlather, just mix it with a soap that is more appealing to you. I've used CF for uber and it's amazing.Quote:

update . i left the jar open for 3 days now . my bathroom smells of moldy sawdust but the sawdust smell has faded in the CF. also when mixed with dr harris sandelwood it make the very best uberlather i have used to date.it also looks and feels like rubber in the jar. so thanks for the help guys i just may get my moneys worth out of this stuff yet
Glad it worked out for you! I had a feeling that would work...Instead of using uberlather every time, you could possibly blend the 2?
David, how can you hate CF? Hate's a strong word! I know its not tallow based, can be terribly inconsistent in texture between batches and has a limited scent range, but it lathers superbly...Lynn is of this opinion also?Quote:
