I gotta say one at a time even though I haven't really had the chance to get more, but I likely wouldn't normally. I will be looking for my first brush soon though so all that fun should start too. :D

Technically 2 but I use the shave gel only as a pre-shave softener. I rinse my face WELL before applying real soap, otherwise that stuff leaves sticky residue on the blade. I don't understand how people can actually shave with it. On a good note, the first batch of Colleen's samples is coming in soon.
P.S. X, what's that creme you showed me called again? I liked the smell/feel of it.
I usually have 4 which I rotate depending on my mood. Shaving with the same old stuff every day gets to be a drag. Remember variety is the spice of life!
That's Lush Ambrosia (north side of Queen St, east of Spadina) :)Quote:

Randy,
Do you have a seperate room for all that soap & Creams:D
Can you give a report on your favorite Taylors & T&H
This is a toughie! I love them all! BUT, if I had to choose, T&H 1805 and Taylor's Shaving Shop. Both give great shaves, but the preference is all about the scent! Unfortunately, I'm no good at describing scents. Taylor's Avocado actually gives the smoothest shave, IMO.Quote:

for taylor i would recommend the avocado.
i, too, have a lot of creams and soaps. it comes with starting out with a DE. when you shave with a DE you have to try out lots of creams because the razors themselves aren't that interesting.
with straights you get nice razors, honing, cleaning and with safety razors you have diff. brushes or soaps to make it interesting.
Yep, Truefitt & Hill 1805 is some seriously good stuff. I also have T&H Ultimate Comfort, Proraso pre/post cream and shaving cream, and various samples I'm working my way through.
I am cutting down the number, so I guess I have about 12 right now...I love the Veloba in almond, I have some Taylor, Prorasso, Kiss My Face, the goats mild hard soap from Heavenly Harvest, and so on. Just have to keep trying new stuff!
I put three on the poll since I only have three with me currently the rest are at home. The ones I have with me now are.
Taylor cream Eton College (not to fond of this fragrance if I get another Taylor cream will try a different one)
Taylor soap Lavender (not bad not sure with so many different soaps to try if I’ll go back and get another one)
Geo F Trumper Rose Cream (have gotten to use this one yet as it just arrived)

With so many to try, and so many that I've all ready bought and are sitting at home waiting for me to get back it might be awhile before I get back to trying another Taylor cream but if I do will give that one a try.Quote:

Went on Classic shaving last night and bought some stuff for my Dad trying to sell him on at lest the wet shaving thing so I went ahead and picked up a tube of the ST James I'll probably pass the tube of Eton College off to him. I'm going to send him what he needs plus my Futur and some feather blades. I figure once I get home and start using the straights won't have much need for the Futur. I'll still tell him it's just a loan and if he likes it will pick one up for him but I'll want mine back.
Talked to the wife today and the box from classic shaving had come in. I had her pull out the St. James and tell me what she thought. She loved it so I guess we got a keeper there. Thanks for the suggestion RichQuote:

I have to throw my two cents in here, since I just got done shaving this morning. I received my Trumper's samples and they included three cream samples: Almond, Coconut and Lime.
I tried the lime today and... *wow*. I have to say this is wonderful stuff. I was originally thinking "Why in the world should I buy another shaving cream, after all I've already pushed the limit and tried T&H 1805, C&E sienna soap and proraso cream and liked them all" and well, let's just say I hope my fiancee doesn't look too closely in my shaving drawer because I'm adding a tube of the Trumper's Lime as soon as I can. I was amazed at the quality of the lather, it smells great and shaves even better!
I love citrus scents and it pairs well with my Royall Lime aftershave. My fiancee likes the other scents (the sienna is a bit strong for her but she's still ok with it) but in her words "you don't smell like you" when I wear the others.
I still have a round of my good old Williams soap in the cabinet and I think it will be a good long while before it sees the bottom of my mug again. You guys are warping me. Stop it!
-- Gary F.
I did have three. I had two cakes of the old Barbershop soap that I've been saving for years, along with porcelain on steel camp mugs to give to my two sons. I did this recently along w/ my two old boar bristle brushes, one German, a Mohawk Canadian. Now I just have my old black Rubbermaid mug w/ melted down Crabtree & Evelyn seashell jojoba soap that my wife didn't care for. To this I aways add the last sliver of her non-allergenic glycerine soapl. So theoretically, this could last me the rest of my natural life! Hey, I'm cheap! With a personal spending allowance of $10 a week, there are things I want to spend it on before soap! Also, witch hazel is about my only aftershave (some old Bay Rum for special occasions). OK, drum me out & ban me from the board.
Well... Joseph says it best,I now have enough to last me through a couple of nuclear winters.Quote:

Not counting samples, I currently only have two going. I'm soon going to be in need of ordering a fresh batch, so that my change.
got 4 not counting samples so far. But as soon as shen makes em available I'll get Colleen's Orange& Patchouli cream as well. (man that stuff is gorgeous)
