So I have been searching around local drugstore and gentlemen's warehouses for shaving creams and decided to use Burts Bees shave cream. I have been adding a bit of pure glycerine even though the ingredients contain vegetable glycerine already. Do you think it is unnecessary to add more?
I have enjoyed my lather much more since I have been trying the uber lather instead of just the soap puck. Maybe I should save the pure glycerine for when I get another cream that doesn't contain any at all?
i've always wondered.. how does that cream lather with a brush?
my uberlather advice.. load the brush with soap.. use an almond sized amount of cream and about 3 drops of glycerin.. you'll have to add water slowly to find the sweet spot... but once you do.. very nice.

Not a true shaving cream, more of a lotion. There is no soap in this product, mostly various vegetable oils and heavy alcohols.Quote:

I began using Mama Bear's bar soaps for bathing because they leave the glycerine in unlike the major brands and it doesn't dry my skin as much.Quote:

it's done the same for me.. all the way down the line.. i get great satisfaction knowing that my pepsodent toothpaste is only a dollar and is the same formula to have cleaned the teeth of both cary grant and george peppard.
