Not sure if I am allowed to post this here, but there is a site that sells MWF products, incl. the shaving soap, the ceramic dish and refills, for incredible good prices. I ordered four pucks and they are $32 incl. shipping from the UK to here, makes it $8 per puck shipped!! The ceramic bowl is about $30 shipped, not a bad deal.

Considering my age and how long a puck of MWF lasts, that could be a lifetime supply for me! :)

I have the bath soap as well as the shaving soap and they are great.
I really like the bath soap as well. MWF and Truefitt bath soaps are all I'm using these days.

Considering how much MWF shave soap rocks, think I'm definitely going to have to give the bath soap a try too - especially after such a consistent string of recommendations...

I just got my order in last night and mixed some MWF lather this morning for my shave.
I have to admit that I had prefered creams as a left over from my newbie days where it was easier to build a good lather with cream.
Thank you so much for the information. This is really really top notch stuff. I love it. Nice smell, easy to build a good lather, and the shave was quite good. I am not sure that it's better than uberlather, but it is right up there.

Got it, tried it; it's a good soap, but not really any better than any number of other good soaps.
That Pommery's mustard is also wicked good stuff.

hey guys. wanted to assist in finding good deals on MWF. if you go to Google.co.uk rather than google.com you can search english websites rather than american ones. while that phrase is not technically accurate, you get what i mean. anyway, i've found MWF on various sites from 4-6 pound ($7-12). you might have some luck searching french and german sites with google.co.uk as well as other goodies.
also found pre de provence for $12.50 or so using this method. i'm not sure if that's a good deal or not. also have a US retailer selling it for $10 here http://www.adiscountbeauty.com/store...ap-In-Tin.html

Ah, that's terrible. Was this the first time you've bought MWF? I bought my ceramic dish from a shop in the States. When it arrived I thought there must be a motorcycle helmut or something in the box because it was so big. But I was sure glad it wasn't broken.Quote:

I can't even use Kent/MWF on my face due to the high lanolin content, but as I will have an empty Kent ceramic shaving mug soon (when the Palmolive shave sticks run out), I'm tempted to buy another Kent/MWF refill puck and put it in the mug just for the sake of it! I used it in the past, got superb lather out but it just wouldn't agree with my face and dried it out a lot.
Oh well, at least the mug will look good. I need help!!! :banghead:
Ah, that's terrible. I use mfw as my main soap and couldn't imagine life without it. How does it irritate your skin - redness/itchiness, etc?

Interestingly, the Creed Vetiver also contains lanolin but I am a huge fan of it. Lather is hard to get right at first too, just like MWF/Kent but it's really superb when you get the hang of it. The moisturising properties of this soap are quite unbeatable.
Anytime on the Palmolive. I have loads more reviews that I want to put here. I may not be a moderator, but I like to think I'm doing my bit here. It really makes the effort worthwhile when someone sends their thanks and I do hope it has helped at least someone decide on a soap, after shave or cologne.
I tried the bath soap and shampoo today, both for the first time.
Here's a quick review.
Bath soap:
lathers really well, cleans well, nice fragrance, easy to hold (it's really quite big). I normally use L'occitane milk soap which I find to be a really nice and well made soap although it doesn't last so long. I'd say MWF soap is more similar to that than to a cheap bar from the supermarket. And the price was about 2 pounds. If you haven't tried it, you want a simple but good soap, you enjoy using soaps, and you don't mind if they are a little unassuming then you'll enjoy it.
Shampoo:
First, it comes in a nice little bottle which would be a good size if you want to go traveling, or like me, like to change your shampoo and don't like getting stuck with some one liter bottle. However you only need a little so I expect it will last quite a while anyway.
It basically feels like J&J baby shampoo. It has a simple and plain smell, lathers well, removes oil well and leaves your hair squeaky clean. I also found it to be quite gentle and my hair looked a little fuller after I had dried it all off. I am generally very careful with shampoos because most of them cause me irritation such as dryness, redness or itchiness, however, this one didn't.
If you want a well made shampoo that does what it's supposed to do, nothing more nothing less, then try it.
I couldn't stop my self any longer, I just placed an order!
