How long will a puck of MWF last? I am using my first puck now, I have two others in reserve and from the usage rate of the first puck, it might be years before I get to the third. What is the lifespan for a MWF puck?

from what i hear.. it's ridiculously long.. i'm guessing you could use it daily for atleast a year. or if you are conservative like our friend utopian.. decades.
I think I gave the wrong impression. I'm not so interested in how long my 'currently being used puck' will last, but the two unopened pucks. If I don't get to the next puck for two years and then two years more for the 'puck' I already own today, is 4-6 years for a puck of MWF going to go to ruin or does it just stay ready for use?
i would imagine that keeping it in the wax paper and in a dark cool place would help.. also i'm told that soaps scented with essential oils are best stored in the fridge..
In the fridge would be ideal. In an air-tight container in the fridge would be better.
I've got a puck of Williams soap with a 19 cent price on it. I don't know how old that places it, but it's probably at least 30 years old. It still looks and smells just fine, or at least, it still looks and smells like Williams soap!
As long as they are dry and sealed they will last almost forever. Once wet though and in a mug even closed they will lose scent over months. My son has a puck which he has had probably 2 years now and he's less than diligent with making sure it's dry before he puts the cover on and I've noticed lately it's developing an off scent.
I'm lazy and keep mine out. It's dried badly, but that's okay. Mine has lasted for over a year. Wow.
