    Default Newways shaving cream

My wife is into soaps without lauryl sulfate so she buys soaps from Neways (US site). One of the products is a shaving cream which has been designed for the main stream 20 blade razors :-).

I have found it to be terrible for straight razor shaving. I am not sure what it is doing or not doing but it doesn't do anything to the whiskers and succeeds in promoting nicks and dulling the razor edge. Unless someone tells me to the contrary I will not be using it again.

While I don't see how a soap or cream can contribute to the dulling of a razor's edge, if a product doesn't do anything for you then stop using it.

However, I do usually recommend that you keep & store away products that you initially don't like. One day you just never know....

When i was shaving with that cream on my whiskers felt like bits of plastic. With other creams it feels like I am cutting through butter. I tried it several times days apart just to make sure it wasnt me that had done something wrong with the lathering.

My wife has bought about 6-8 tubes of the stuff. I think its going to sit on the shelf collecting dust.

Okay, 6 to 8 tubes DOES sound a little excessive. I'd say keep one and then *politely* toss the rest.
