Proraso
Not going to say anything groundbreaking or amazing but I was just astounded by the quality of Proraso I usually use VDH to make uber lather which is just ok , but the proraso kicks much butt on its own.
Now I wonder about the really expensive stuff and how good that is.
In fact what are some comparisons between the quality of soaps?
I mean I find the stand alone quality between the two soaps mentioned to be substantial is there a real quality boost to the next level ?

I used Proraso for the first time today, and my lather was great! I like this soap; it has performed better that anything else that I have tried so far.

Musgo Real
Another good one in the same price range is:
"Musgo Real -Creme Para Barbear".

That is what got me buying soaps, thinking if this is so good than the high end soaps must be amazing, but I have not noticed a significant improvement in quality above the $10-$20 range, but in the higher end soaps you will get better scents. :)

Using the soap or the cream?
I use the cream and soap, but find the cream easier to use and lather.
I also use the C.O. Bigelow which is re-packaged Proraso that you can find at your local "Bath and Body Works".
Enjoy!!! :beer2:

Proraso was the first shaving lather I bought that didn't come in a can. It's best-in-class IMHO, and though I have much better soaps and creams it still has a valued place in my rotation.

I just got a tub of the soap now looking to where I can find some cream to put into my travel bag.

Proraso soap is in my rotation as well...for the price of it it's not too shabby at all. And the tingle is nice too.

i don't have a huge list of soaps and creams under my belt.. but i've tried a few.. and proraso gives me just as good of a lather as d.r. harris soaps and tobs creams.. so it's either on par or my lathering skills top out and i'm unable to utilize the most costly stuff to it's full potential.

Proraso is a very good soft soap. Menthol and eucaliptus make it very refreshing. I prefer to use it in summer time.
