Burt`s Bees
I was away for a week in the big smoke and found a liquidation shop that had Bert`s bees products ,I purchased some shaving soap I was wondering if any one had heard of them.
Is it a collectable ,should I get into it or:thinking: not ,for shaving soap it was pretty ex-ey :hmmm:
Kind regards Peter

I don't believe it's a collectible item unless they've stopped making it. The most common complaint with their shaving soap is that it doesn't lather well and tends to dry out pretty quickly.

Thanks
Thanks for your honesty ,looks like I got done . I`ll use it and get rid of it
Kind regards Peter

Yea I've tried it and it smells nice but isn't worth a darn otherwise IMHO.

In the past year the only comments about the soap I have heard have all been negative. However, if you can still find it, I understand their Bay Rum A/S is nice.

yess it is their bay rum type, thanks I feel a bit better now
Kind regards Peter:hmmm:

Peter,
It's the Bay Rum After Shave that is considered decent, not the soaps. If you have the soap...use it as a bath soap!

Peter,
You can recover your costs for the soap on Ebay. For some reason, there is a fairly large demand for Burts Bees shave soap. They quit making it a few months back, but they are supposed to be coming out with a new shaving soap this fall. I still use the soap, but only for DE shaving and then I only lather up small area's instead of the entire face as the lather vanishes quickly. I really do like the bay rum aftershave, but that was discontinued along with the soap.
