very nice read obie.. i too have developed a fondness for mama bear's soaps.
Very nice article, thanks for that! I'll definately try to grab some Mama bear when i'm through my current assortment.
Mama Bear makes some good stuff! Favorite is lime-ice as far as shave soap. Didn't care too much for their aftershave lotion/balm (bought a sample pack).
Also, thumbs up for their bath soaps as well. Bought my SWMBO some soap just to ease the pain of me hearing her ripping me about my RAD and how I already enough shave soap to last a lifetime. She loves their soap which gives me a reason to order my shave soap when she runs out.
One of these days I'll splurge and get me some mama bear. I've got a lot of products that I'm really happy with now, though. It really is SAD.
Wow very nice article very nice indeed. Although, I have yet to do a shopping spree at mamma I look forward to the day I do.
Good stuff Obie!!!!
Thank-you Obie for posting your article for others to read. I tend to prefer creams as I have not had much luck with the different soap brands I have tried, but after reading the article I quickly opened a new tab and checked out the website. I must say I was a bit overwhelmed at the variety available, but I think I will be adding some Mama Bear soaps to my shave den in the very near future. Thanks againg for sharing.
I have never used Mama Bears soaps, but I enjoy your writing style.
Keep up the good work, sir!
Obie jan,
That was a great read. Thanks for sharing :tu. Sue makes some fantastic soaps. I have 7 already and love them all. Fabulous lather.
On a slightly different note, I was very saddened to learn about Sue's recent tragedy :(. Seems like she is getting back on her feet though
Obie,
A great read. I'd expect nothing less:)
Thank you Obie, as allways with your texts, a pleasure to read! :beer1:
Great soap, and article to match.
Great Article!
Hi Obie,
Thank you very much for sharing that with us, thats a very well written article! I've got a few of Sue's soaps and I agree that they are truly excellent.
All the best,
Stuart
nice article
but I read that right, she also makes shaving creams?Or was that in the past
I want to try that. Her soap is excellent and maybe a combo between soap and cream.......heaven.
Obie, this is a great article! Complements to you and to Mamabear soaps!
Great article, thanks for sharing.... I have never had the pleasure of using a mamabear soap but if I ever finish a few of the two dozen or so soaps I have sitting around I know where I'll be buying my next few tubs.
Very nice article Obie.. I also love her soaps. The Rosemary Mint is a divine scent and has a nice cooling effect on the skin similar to menthol for me so it works great for those morning shaves when I need a slight "wake up call".
Good Job Obie. Sue (Mama Bear) has always been one of my favorites. Many times, in my photo's, you'll see numerous tubs of her soaps on my counter in the backround. I think I have around 10. They remain a staple in my ever growing Soap/Cream Collection....
Thank you....
Nice article!
Next soap I am going to buy will be Mama Bears. Problem is I cannot choose less than 10 from their website :hmmm:
I agree. Great article, Obie.
Mamma Bear's is the only soap I've ever used, and I can't seem to force myself to try anything else. My daily staple is the "Northwoods". Smells just like my cottage in Michigan.
If you really want a wake up call, get some "Awakenings". That stuff will wake you up, smack you around, and feed you breakfast. It rocks!

This article was a great read and also turned me on to Mama Bear's products. I'm looking forward to giving one a try. Thanks.
Good read, Obie.
Now I have to put some of Mama Bear's soap on the list of things to try... does it ever end? :D
Classical Music radio host eh? I guess that makes you a personality around here.
great article, i really enjoyed reading it. but now thanks to YOU i have to order some Aged Spice soon, i didnt know it smelled like old spice (one of my favorite smells) so now that i know this i will have to get some. thanks for the article, mama bear was some of the first soaps i had and ever since i started wet shaving i have always had AT LEAST one or two tubs of mama bear

Thanks for the fine info. After reading went on ebay and won one of the soaps, Chi tea, in a wooden cup. Thinking of using on my 1st straight shave try. Thanks..............
mbs has a great site- i just ordered the unscented and abt half a dozen samples at a dollar each- a great deal. can't wait to try them out
