what makes ogallala lather so well?

i've recently ordered my first puck of ogallala.. (the basic bay rum) and a bonanza pack..

although i really am not much for the scent.. i am really impressed with the soaps latherability.. the soap is amazing.. it lathers so well and really takes care of business..

i generally prefer french soaps for their shea butter.. and i know that ogallala is formulated with shea butter.. however.. i have built some amazing lather with it's soap.. it just seems to me that it is the perfect soap (minus the scent)..

what is it that makes ogallala lather so well? is it just the shea?

also.. what other soaps use the same formulation?

my other favourite soaps are provence sante, pre do provence, and institute karite.. and for some other reason.. the ogallala lathers even better than my favourites.. what's the secret?

It's the human fat they put in it.It's made by a bunch of guys in a deserted house who get together once a week and fight a lot.But we're not supposed to talk about you know what club.Rule No.1............Just sayin that's all.:roflmao

Yep I have Ogallala also, and enjoy the rich lather...The only thing I would say is although it lathers well, it requires more application because it dries out a little faster than some of my others? But I am just pointing out the worst case scenario with Ogallala...I am a devout Ogallala fan..I use all their Sandalwood products daily..I absolutely love the scent! Try their bath soap too! It also lathers well.:beer1:

:shrug: I don't know but I'm a big fan of Ogallala. I live in a fairly hash environment especially in the winter and my face likes this soap.

Ogallala needs only a few swirls, for me maybe 10 or so and I have enough for two or more passes. This stuff lathers quicker than anything I have used. Love it.
