Shopping for a good shaving soap/creme in europe

Hi,

Some of you may know me already from my allergic persons shaving experience topic. So I'm quite new to the forum. And I'm seeking for advice.

I live in Finland, Scandinavia/Northern Europe. I have 86 different allergies and I have previous experience of some Nautik Rasiercreme from my local market. I use Body Shop's synthetic (I think) brush. The Creme is much better than the normal market shaving stuff available here in Finland. But I would like to try some real luxury shaving soap to get my shaving experience better.

I will be ordering in the next few days. But struggle with some problems about it.

First problem is, that I really don't know what to try. I'm confused.

The other problem is that I can't find an European Shaving Online Store anywhere. Classic Shaving would probably send it to Finland but if the order's value goes over ~45 euros, I will be paying 23% tax on top of that!

First I was pretty interrested on Classicshaving.com mug's and TOBS soap. Especially this mug. Considered also some of the wooden, but I dont like all of them. Im really conservative in my style, so It has to be really modest.

But then, I got the idea from this forum that classicshaving's own soap is a load of ****? After reading couple of threads I came up to the conclusion that only recommeded soap in Classicshaving.com is Truefitt & Hill's soap. It comes in a Wooden bowl. But I am not really fond of the look of the bowl. I much more like TOBS bowl. But got the idea that TOBS soap's we're not that good either?

If anyone know a good European shaving online shop and can suggest me a really conservative mug/bowl and good shaving soap which is great for allergic person. I would be more than thankful.

Nice to have more Finns around. Been quite lonely here this far.
I would recommend you to try Michaels Wool Fat soap from UK. As far as i know it is unscented so it might be suitable for allergic also. Available on eBay. It is cheap, lasts for long and makes good lather. And with EU orders you don't have to worry about custom taxes.

Body shop brush works ok, but as it is synthetic it might be little harsh for the allergic skin. Badger might be more gentle

Shaving bowl or scuttle is up to your personal taste. I have a flea market scuttle and and a small bowl i bought for few coins when i visited in Tunisia. Both work very well. Whatever porcelain wide coffee mug works well too, imho.

i have read that people with very bad acne have had much success with the tobs sensitive.. i have not used it.. but i very much enjoy tobs almond cream..

Hi there! My two top advices are either Nannys soaps in england or Henks soaps in Holland. Both´re very good soap makers + you can discuss your issues directly with them and they´ll be happy to do so. Henk knows a lot about chemistry and I think Sharon (Nanny) knows a lot about allergies.

I prefer Nannys soaps, but only by a hair, lol.

Henks Dutch Moss is my favourite and with Nanny it´s Ice and a Slice, but your concern should be to get a good soap that works for you rather than a nice scent, I guess.

Hey, there. Same problem, I'm living in Romania and there are NO shops whatsoever concerning wet shaving. I used to buy from classicshaving.com or taylor's and truefitt's websites. However, I recently came across this Belgium shop, pretty good:
