Theres not such thing like La Toja with tallow.

Gentlemen:
I have been receiving a lot of private messages asking me where to find a La Toja with tallow.Well,Im sorry to say,but there is not such thing like La Toja with tallow.I even thought myself that vintage La Toja shaving stick had tallow (that soap its yellow while the actual one has a white color) since its lather its so similar to other vintage soaps like Old Spice,Gibbs N53 or even Yardley but for what I know after a investigation and some research,La Toja always had a veggie formulation.The difference with the actual formulation is that the old one only had like 6 or 7 ingredients (I have that info somewhere,so as soon as I find it Ill post its ingredients).
So what yore looking for is La Toja vintage soap,not La Toja tallow soap.
These soaps are also really hard to find in Spain,so Im sorry to say that many are taken by the spanish La Toja lovers,since its a superb soap.

Also the wooden bowl version came with a tallow formula.

I just checked the ingredients on the stick I got this summer, unfortunately it looks like Teiste is right :(

Ingredient list:

Potassium Stearate, Potassium Cocoate, Potassium Palmitate, Sodium Stearate, Aqua, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoate, Sodium Palmitate, Coconut Acid, Parfum, Mineral Salts, Coumarin, Limonene, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Cl77892.

Yeah,it seems that there was a version with tallow of that stick,dunno how long ago.About the bowl,well post the ingredients and we will know.
Sorry that I didnt update the post here as I did in other shaving forums,but I contacted Henkel aboout the La Tojas shaving soap formulations and Im still waiting for answers.
The bowls are made in Spain now and the sticks it seems that are mad in Slovakia,but I dont know exactly since when (maybe 2000).

Yeah, only the bowls made in Spain as far as I know as well.

As fort the wooden bowl with tallow, you could always contact the member who posted this, on another forum.

But I can't miss what I never tried, and I love the current La Toja, so I'm happy. :)

These are the ingredients for an old vintage Magno Shaving soap:

sodium stereate, potasium cocoate, water, glycerin, titanium dioxide, sodium chloride, tetrasodium edta, sodium silicate

As you can read,no tallow on it.This is the soap,made in Spain and also made before the new La Toja Manantiales ones,but with the same color (for what I understand) than the old yellow La Toja stick.

BTW,how are your Semogues performing?

Ah cool bowl! That guy said he had a tallow bowl La Toja after showing the tallow stick, so I have no reason to doubt him really, but I'd like to see it as well. :)

My Semogues are performing wonderfully, I even added a small 2030B for travel. Will be interesting to see how the SRP Thater compares.

That Thater its gonna be a great brush,but,much better than the Semogue SOC finest badger...well stay tuned,I guess.

As soon as I get a response from Henkel (but im not really holding my breath) Ill post what they tell me about La Toja shaving soap formulations.And Im sorry for not updating this thread as I did in other shaving forums.My apologies.
