Where do you buy Palmolive shave sticks? I have never seen it in a store.
I get mine from either West Coast Shaving or Bullgoose. Either place will treat you right, and it's a fine soap, one of my favorites.
How about some Martin de Candre or Institut Karite? I like the richness of the I Coloniali lather, but the fragrance can be polarizing. I'd suggest first trying a refill puck.

Sadly, Palmolive sticks are only available from online retailers in The US. I *think* that it is sold in Canada, however, and I know that it sells for like a euro or two a stick throughout Europe.
Thanks all for the info. I will give one a try.
I got my palmolive from another member in the UK. I just wanted to add that it is a soap that you should definitely try to get your hands on. It is an amazing product for the price. One of the most moisturizing soaps I have used.
You can usually find 2-3 stick lots on Ebay for nothing money.
mdntn, Bull Goose also carries Palmolive shave stick. I use shave soap sticks for travel. My stash includes La Toja Manantiales, D.R. Harris, Lea and, of course, Palmolive. This is a good shave soap stick, so find one any way you can.
Purchased today a palmolive shave stick fantastic soap, just applied after a shower to my wet face, wet the end of the soap stick, wiped over my face then used a warm badger brush. It produced a really good lather as good as Trumpers. I was very impressed. Highly recommended.
Sorry - not sold in Canada. I buy mine from a couple of different English on-line drug stores. I can't recall the name right now... But they are easy to find.

I get mine from Connaught in the UK, 2 sticks for under $7 delivered and only 6 days from the UK to my door.
The price has recently doubled in the UK for Palmolive sticks from £0.48 ($0.74) to £1 in some stores. Traditional wet shaving is definitely making a comeback
I walked into my local Asda and bought two sticks for 78 pence each I think, they're really cheap anyways. Great soaps
Connaught shavings probably the best bet ordering from the US, or you could try arko, also a great soap, bit more expensive and I prefer it to the palmolive stick
regards Alex
In the US, Arko is generally less expensive than the Palmolive. Arko averages for about $2 while the Palmolive is usually around $3-$4.
I really like the Palmolive sticks. I've been using different soaps with a safety razor but when I got my Genco Old Dutch straight razor back from being sharpened I went straight to the Palmolive for the first few straight razor shaves. Seems like rubbing the soap into my beard creates a slick coating that I don't always get from more expensive soaps I mix in a shave mug.
I was in our local supermarket the other day and naturally had a quick look at the shave section just in case they had anything other than the canned foam stuff. Low and behold they had 50g Palmolive shave sticks.
I believe it was $1.80 AUD. Funny enough I have never tried it myself.
I might have to try one, too. I've only used an Arko stick, and I'm not really all that enamoured with the smell of Arko, though it lathers OK...
shave sticks are awesome. especially this one! Palmolive is a great soap :)
Palmolive is one of those soaps that should be in everybody's rotation regardless of price in my opinion. Nice clean scent and it does what it says on the erm...stick, and it does it very well. Good stuff indeed
I know this is an old thread but damn I gotta say, I just tried the Palmolive shave stick yesterday after seeing some members mention it favourably, and it is such a great soap. I was not expecting a lot from it because it is €0.65 for 50g stick(Tesco Ireland) :dropjaw:, but it is really really good. E.g I find MWF very easily dries out and that's an expensive soap but this stuff is just superb in comparison and for the price, wow, cant praise it highly enough! Definitely something everyone should have in the cabinet! :)
Palmolive GUT is one of the little known best shaving soaps ever created IMO.
Is an ebay seller from the U.K. who also has a website (cannot find the link:( I order a case of 10 sticks a year for less than 20 USD delivered.
Yea, I can believe they are good based on my experience of their shave cream. There are a couple of places in Canada that it cab be ordered from. It is on my list.

Found it, but the price has gone up since my last order:(Palmolive Shaving Soap Stick
Bit of a rip off if you ask me...£2.70(€3.16) for 2 compared to €1.30 for 2?
Are we having a contest for the biggest rip? :-) I can walk into the Merz Apothecary around the corner and buy it, but it's $4 a stick!

Well if we were having a competition I think you just won haha! Thats unreal! Although still worth it if you ask me, its a fine soap :)
Now there is a contradiction - a rip off, but worth it! I am not making much sense
