I bought(longtime ago) a big bowl of MdC the one in the wooden bowl(LLOOOVVVEEE IT!!!!).
I saw that there's other kind like ''Le Cannelé'', ''Le Beurrier'' and the ''Ice Cream'' is there someone that tried those???
Are they the same paste and scent that the original one?

If I'm not mistaken I think the only difference is the container the soap comes in. They still only have two varieties, scented and unscented.

I've had the 170g in the glass bowl since 2010, so almost coming up to two years now and the thing has barely gone down a centimetre. It might be the holy grail for some people, but I have since forgotten what it feels like to open up a brand new soap! :)
+1 This stuff is like those gag peanut brittle cans which shoot all over the room when opened. Wipe the brush on it a few times and lather is everywhere. I have gotten a dozen uses from mine and it looks to have never been opened.Quote:

Just received the answer from MdC and like you guys said its the same soap different bowl...
Except for scented and unscented, thats it!
And yes I got mine 2 years ago and its still got plenty in bowl!!!!

I used my first MdC scented today. I shaved 3 very small leaves using a demitasse spoon. Literally about 1/2 of a demitasse. Placed it in the bottom of my extra large georgetown pottery scuttle and used a chubby 3X brush. Probably made enough lather for 4-5 shaves. I have the 200ml glass jar. The cost of this soap is much too expensive. I probably can't get any more than 4000 to 6000 shaves from the jar. Given that I have 72 other shave creams/soaps, I am writing this one into my will. Many of you know that I am in therapy for addiction control (shaving) but I must have the fougere scented shave soap and the wooden bowl. Given a choice between food on the table or MdC, the choice is easy.

I have tried the fougere hand soap but that was ages ago. The soap now has my undivided attention, so I wonder if there are any UK or Europe-based readers that wouldn't mind sending a sample blob?
Tried to convince my wife and daughter to surprise me and make the purchase....well, looks like I'm on my own on this one. I was wondering if you like the scented? I would prefer it as long as it isn't too flowery smelling. Suggestions?
I'd probably classify it as botanical/herbal in its profile - rosemary, lavender, basil kind of scent. In any case, the scent will not linger after your final rinse.Quote:
