Hi guys, I found a great solution for that troublesome paper wrapped Arko Shaving Soap (which is my personal favorite). I bought it in westcoastshaving.com for under 2 dollars, great deal for all you Arko entusiasts.

I was going to wait for my DR Harris stick to run out and recycle the container, but I just might have to purchase a couple of these.
I just re-cycle Deodorant containers (free) Grate the stuff up and stuff it in,add a little water as you fill it and it turns into a solid stick.

Yea, recycled deodorant containers too.

You know, the only time I would not use a shave stick repackaged this way is went traveling by air. I have a feeling that some snarky security agent might get a little snarly over items not in their original packaging. I just drop my Arko into a prescription pill container from the drug store to keep the mess down in my shave kit.

It can also be just pressed into a mug. Nuke helps
I did this with VDH, Melt and poured it in, works great. Thanks for the info. about the water on the other soaps, I never would have thought to do that.
