Hi, has anyone tried the Palmolive shaving soap stick? pros, cons?
Yes,
Lots of Pros, good lather, pleasant smell, inexpensive.
As it's a stick, it's particularly suited to face lathering, though I believe some people grate it and put it into a bowl. I like to use it if I haven't shaved for a couple of days or so as it's easier to rub it into the stubble.
I can't really think of any cons.
The Palmolive shave stick is simply one of the better products out there. As was already said, it is inexpensive, it has a great clean scent and it lathers like crazy.
doesnt smell bad, just kinda soapy smelling (whoda thunkit)..
its cheap, it works..
my face doesnt seem to like it though.. just doesnt feel great on the face.. maybe i'll give it another go sometime..
I love it and use it at every shave.
This is the only shaving stick my local stores have
At .49p where I live it's all pros no cons. Nice simple clean smell and great lather with no work involved. The packaging is nothing special and won't be but thats the only thing that could do with improvement. It's up there with the best for performance in my opinion.
I'll chime in to add my praise to the humble Palmolive shave stick. Tallow-based, nice 'n' slick lather, good clean soapy smell and the most cost-effective wet-shaving item you can possibly buy. The con is there is no nice container to store it in, but I like it as I can leave it open to 'air'.
It's widely available here in the UK, so I usually have one in the wash bag for those journeys abroad that you don't quite have the space to carry a full puck :)
Great Stuff, get it from the U.K 15 sticks at a time.
It's just one of those many products in the bang for your buck category that does it's job.
Yes, and I'm sure many UK or European SRP'ers would be happy to send you some if you ask them nicely :) They are dirt cheap over here as Sasquatch has already pointed out.
