Hi all,
These soaps are very very good. Not sure if any of you guys have tried these or can get them in the US etc... If you can get a pot give it a try. I've reviewed a few and will be doing more soon in my blog.

Hi all,

If it's the same company I'm thinking of I've heard good things. When I looked they were out of stock of the ones I wanted. I just don't get the gag with names like this and Nancy Boys and similar!
Trust me forget about the name. The soaps are of really good quality and you have the knowledge that they may buy a small independent producer.
They also lather really well and the scent is really good. Because it's made in small batches they sell out really quickly but also you need to check every other day because they come back in stock randomly.
No they are from the West Midlands area, Stourbridge. I've got quite a few of their soaps and shaving soaps.
Wrong location but it is the place I was thinking of. I really wanted to try Forest of Norway last year and no stock currently listed. I'd love to try the Vetiver as well but no samples of that it seems. Which scents have you tried so far?
Oh where do I start!
I've tried and currently have a pot of forest of Norway, Arabian nights, French Lavender, tea tree and eucalyptus, The citrus one, lime, Ice and slice, Down home summer. Yeah I've tried a few of them and they all are very very good.
I've use her soap in my rotation. Very nice product. She also has sample sizes for sale. Reasonable.
Very nice just to check if you like the scent of the soap before you go and buy a large pot.
Nanny's Silly Soap has very good soaps, I bought some of them several months ago, but it's better to get a sampler before you decide which one. She has many different fragances.
Last time I bought four of them with some another things.

Have a nice day !!
Sharons soaps are among my favorites (nice slippery lather) + she's a nice lass, as they say in the good ol UK :D
I am guessing this - Shaving Soap - Nanny's Silly Soap Company - is the place?
I use them, and posted about it before. They are very good soaps. I like her "Neroli"....Good stuff.
BTW, They do ship to the U.S.
Sharon will ship all over the place. I really like the Forest of Norway soap but the Tea Tree is great for summer shaving.
Oh man... I keep telling myself I don't need anymore soaps, creams, razors, strops... well ok everyone needs a couple back-up strops but whatever.
But anyway, I keep telling myself I need to scale down and learn to love what I have, but it's threads like these...
You know it reminds me of when I found out I was having a second child. I just didn't think my heart could grow any larger and feared my second wouldn't get the love of the first but well, my heart grew and I love the second as dearly as the first.
I think I am sick!
I know 100% how you feel. Every time I think that's it I have all the soap etc I'll ever need, someone recommends something and off we go again. Wife will kill me one day!
Yeah but a gay guy calling another gay guy a nancy boy, really takes on a different meaning. With the store being in the middle of "gay town," the name was actually funny, and maybe even appropriate. Actually, once you take away the negativity behind any word it all becomes moot. Back in my day you could get knocked out for dropping the F-balm - nowadays no one cares.
Nancy Boy is only in my opinion a bad term if you are using it to run down some-one. YMMV.
Ya I understand that bit, thats what makes me wonder why the name was used for such a manly pursuit like real shaving. If a new axe was designed and marketed as 'The Shirt lifter' it would strike me as similarly peculiar for a brand name. Now I'm no homophobe but I wouldn't like the idea of mincing about in the woods with a shirt lifter!
I've just ordered a large batch of samples! Some new fragrances that I have not tried yet.
Rise! Rise from the depth of the Interwebz Dead Thread - I command thee!!!
Just tried a sample that was sent to me of Nanny's Neroli Traditional Shaving Soap...wow...very impressive, obviously a very high quality soap, and they have a superb selection. Incredible explosion of lather and scent, the Neroli was spectacular, and think I can squeeze two more shaves or so from the sample.
So, Nanny's Shaving soaps will be the next victim of my SAD....bwahahahaha!
Shaving Soap & Accessories - Nanny's Silly Soap Company
NSS is terrific, especially her new tallow formula (traditional range). I like nearly all of her scents, especially Arabian Nights, Moroccan Sands, and Neroli. Her vegan Signature soaps perform extremely well also. I agree, it's a spectacular soap.
Yeah Sharon produces great soap the Neroli signature a favourite of mine with a beautiful scent.
I went and looked and saw you can add your e-mail for scents that are out of stock. At first I had a hard time with the name game. I usually skip vendors that use names that don't describe the scent in the names. I see good descriptions though when you select a name. I almost passed on the " Down Home Summer" having lived near a dairy farm :<0)
That's hilarious...I've passed on many soap companies for that exact reason - see a name like that and I'm out.
Received a sample of the Neroli, and it was a fantastic soap, very complex aroma to it, some deep earthy like smell, and then out of nowhere, this light citrus flavor hit the nose...have enough for a couple more shaves. Lathers easily, feels great on the face...really beautiful soap.
And another reminder, when you get samples, try them...don't let them accumulate in your razor box.....:D
Atfer many years, NSS is back.
Sharon has some news.
Two bases, three frangrances each.
As always, great performers.
