Vintage Yardley worth it?

Well as with anything you buy online make sure you see a photo of the product first. That should tell you how rancid or not it is :)

Don't count on it fitting, but if the soap can be softened (soak it in water a few days or try the microwave), you should be able to mould it in there with a bit of effort.

I can see where you're coming from on this. I too would prefer to buy these new, but if the item has been well-looked after and would otherwise be ridiculously expensive to buy new (e.g. Martin de Candre), then I see no issue with second hand shaving software.

My father was a school teacher many years ago..Yardley was one of those products he got a lot of at Christmas time from the students. When I think back of it (late 60's), he practically could have opened his own shaving store with all the products he was given by the students. Hai Karate, Yardley, English Leather and many others !
