I splash on warm water, lather then shave. Three minutes total. I could take longer, I guess, but I got women out there I want to chase.
I tried it yesterday and I liked it, and it seem not to make a difference on the shave ( massaging vs brushing). Found that I needed to load the brush a little more, or the thin lather would disappeared with the brushing, in essence had to build a shaving lather rather than a massaging one. It also ties up the two minutes I use for stropping and setting up, but yesterday was a long shave, and I like long shaves. The shave was as good! The only advantage I would see to massaging the beard (as per an old barbers manual) would be blood circulation to your face for a better skin (just a supposition, not supported by facts). Double O
