I'm new here and to the whole straight razor shaving world. I'm also trying to buy more made in the USA products this year and was wondering if anyone has made a list of top shelf USA Shaving Soaps?
Thank you for your time,

Queen Charlotte soaps are pretty good.
Portland General store, Located in Maine
Nancy Boy, San Fransico (never used this one)
+1 for Mike's Natural soaps
Mama Bear is made in the USA isnt it?
Like razors (other than customs) or badger Brushes, are very few american shaving soaps that can match those that are made offshore,IME.
SRD makes very nice soap. Ogallala gets some good press. The Gentlemen's Refinery, though a cream and not a soap, is a great product as well.
Thank you for the replies/suggestions guys, really appreciate it. I've decided to order a sample pack from Mama Bear. Hopefully I can find some scents that I like.
Thanks again,
Beagle
The SRD, Mikes, and Queen Charlotte soaps are all first rate products. I have not yet tried the others mentioned but will in the near future. Excellent American products are out there but most must be purchased through their makers web sight so you gotta look for them.
Thank you. I chose to start with Mama Bear because of the variety and the musk scent of which I'm thinking I'll lean towards tho I haven't smelled it yet. The sample slivers seem to be a great way to try everything out without investing in a puck I won't be happy with.
Thanks again,

+1 on the Ogallala. Made in the US heartland (Ogallala, NE). Perfect if you face lather (check out the advice on the website - The World's Largest Bay Rum Website) and very reasonable price-wise. The owner, John, is a real gentleman and a pleasure with whom to do business. Get the sampler so you can try all the great scents.
Note - the web site is closed for a few days while John, attends to some family matters. It should be back up around 26 JAN 2013.
I picked up a puck of Williams and a puck of Van Der Hagen at the local Walgreens. Not sure if Van Der Hagen is made in the USA but the address on the box says Liberty, TX.
I will be on the road 100% of the time starting in May and wanted to try some soaps that were easily available. I have been using Proazo Green and like it a lot but getting it shipped to me might be a pain as I'll be roaming all over the counrty. So I thought I would try these 2 which I can pick up at most any drugstore.
Have to say that the Van Der Hagen Glycerin Shave Soap for sensitive skin (made with Vitamin E and Oat Extract) is a hands down winner over Williams. The 2.5 ounce puck fits perfect in my rubber mug and lathers quite nicely.

Queen Charlotte Soaps and Mike's Natural Soaps are both really good soaps.
+ 1 Williams
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Razorock from Canada? Or perhaps just distributed through there but made in Italy? Certainly not USA, but still a great close-to-home product range. I loved their XXX. Amazing performance, too.
I'm surprised Mystic Water out of Maryland, I think, hasn't been mentioned. They make an excellent soap.
