I think it's best described as French lavendar and mint. It's a subtle scent, not overpowering at all, very pleasant. It might sound like a feminine scent but I wouldn't agree with that assessment. Besides, it's performance speaks for itself :)
Yup, I get a mild lavender scent from it. Cant say that I detect any mint though. Performance is excellent.
Subtle. Lavender, rosemary, mint. It's my favorite scent.
I've used both scented and unscented versions and can honestly say I would happily use either. As others have said, the scent is not overpowering so if you are curious give it a go.
We also like their bubble baths and bath soaps :)

Where is the best place to buy Martin de Candre in the U.S.?
I think you can only get it from France (as in I do not think they have distributors). I may be wrong on that though.

Unless you can find someone in the US willing to part with a spare jar (unlikely) you'll need to order from the MdC website. It's a good idea to call your bank first and tip them off that a charge is coming from France so your card doesn't get flagged for "suspicious overseas activity." Takes two minutes and can save quite a bit of hassle.
The scent is definitely a lavender/rosemary. Apparently there is mint, but if there it is so faint I can't detect any.
I've owned the scented versions both in the glass bowl and the wooden bowl. If you are bothered about the scent, I would go for the one in the wooden bowl. The scent doesn't linger much as the bowl is uncovered. The glass bowl version smelled a little bit stronger but the difference was only slightly noticeable. All in all, the scent is very natural and suitable for year-round use.
Totally a worthwhile purchase. This soap is what I call "self-lathering"!!
I don't know what the scent is but whatever it is it's heavenly.
If you order it pays to buy a few things cause the shipping costs can be quite high though they have lowered them from what they used to be.
