I recently picked up some Jabonman soap. Very good stuff btw. I know quite a few of you out there use it. It's a soft soap, and I'm wondering if you scoop some out, or swirl the brush around in the tub. I use a scuttle.

Manuel's soaps are nothing short of exceptional, IMO. If I had to choose just one brand for the rest of my life, JabonMan would be it, and that's coming from a staunch D.R. Harris fan! I load my brush straight from the tin and face lather, but the great thing is that very little loading is required. Whereas I would usually swirl my brush on a soap for around a minute, I find 15 to 20 seconds loading creates more than enough lather for 3 passes, and more. Great lather, scents, and after feel. A winner in my book!!
Feeding the addiction yet again zib? lol :D
I face lather, as well.
I also swirl the brush on top of the tin for about 25 to 30 seconds. IMO, one the most stable lathers out there!
I just discovered recently, if I put a pinch of jabonman in a bowl, add about a teaspoon of water, and then use my finger to press the soap against the bowl to mix it and dissolve it in the water, then absorb it into a well soaked, well shaken brush with all the wet out of it, I get a wild and perfect lather each time whether I'm lathering in a bowl or right on my face. You can always dip the brush into some standing water as you go if the mix is too dry. It's really remarkable - and fast! Whips up in no-time.
