Sounds like the same glue I have. Know shoemakers use it to get heels back on ;)

Now to the wood. Found a vintage plank, need's some sanding.
Hum, used the leather on my razor. If anything it got less keen:/ Does it need to be broken in more? Used the palm of my hand for some time before using it. Don't understand this;)
Sounds like your method may be flawed. Keep the razor absolutely F L A T on the strop as well as the stone just to see if that helps the situation.
Ok, so it's finished. Not the best finish but it will do for now. Used up all my high grit SP on my stone...
Now I only need a good movie and a glass of red wine;) let the stroping begin!

Looks pretty good. Did you do a 'flesh' side out on the other side of the block for your 'Linen' strop?

Ty;) No, it's for use on my lap, so only want one side for the razor. Going to make more strops, with compound and other side of the leather. Using my old strop for compund now. Feels like moose leather are better, but not sure, it's softer atleast.
But now I am worried about the razor, seems to be abit uneven on the bevel on 1 side:-(
