Living in a major town/city, it's been challenging trying to find leathers for strops. I ran across this site and surprisingly will even cut to order. I'm wondering if Horween leather would be ok to use for strops....

I don't know about Horween but I am sure you can run a quick search for that and come up with something. As far as that company I have talked with them via email and they recommend their "tooling bellies" for making strops. They are around 4" by about 6 feet so there must be something good enough to make a strop and I would make a razor sleeve with some of the left over or maybe paste an imperfect piece or give to a newbie to learn on or use some to cover your lathering bowl or brush handle. There are a lot of things you could use it for.
