I too have used Levi's. Either on me or hanging up.
If I thought I had to use something in an emergency and I couldn't shave without stropping I'd use a ...DE
I have yet to forget my strop, but jeans and/or palm would be my first choice. That unless I for some wicked reason should have put a DE in my dopp kit instead of the strop.
Sometimes I've used a leather belt. This is at work where sometimes I've packed a razor, when it's a weekday and I didn't have time to shave at home. I've used my forearm but on the multiblade plastic Gilletes. This was when I was on the road to straights around late 2010. I made one last almost a year.

The seat belt in the car for my fabric followed by forearm
When I was in London and the bag with my stop ended up in Barcelona I used the pants leg of my jeans.
Newspaper works well too.
