I would probably have aproached SRD with the problem (?) In the first place, or at least done what has been advised, a straight edge can be as simple as a metal ruler used on its thin end.
I am not saying any of the advice given is right or wrong, but i am sure vendors would prefer an opportunity to resolve issues directly.
just a bit of useless info having only slightly something to do with this thread...
it has been my experience that the opposite reaction will happen to wood as it dries out, as much if not more than as it "absorbs moisture"
One board on top of another board will cup on the side that is exposed to air as it shrinks, while the side laying against the next board is protected from drying, and remains full sized.

Yea your right Mag I checked with level its cupped. Don contacted me today though and will take care of it. I may just go with a regular strop I don't want to keep running into the same problem. This could be the case with any paddle stropQuote:

Until the heel of that razor is repaired, it doesn't really matter what strop you use or get, the result will be the same. Those kind of marks have nothing to do with any perceived cupping in my experience. If the razor was dropped or chipped in the heel or toe, those are the kinds of marks that will be seen until repaired.

I just checked both side of my modular paddle with a perfectly flat edge and there is no visible sign of any warping along the entire length of both sides.

Get a livi loom. It's great. Got it from SRD. It's magic And, NO WOOD! Comes with crox on one side. Comes in three sizes too
have you addressed the razor issue? if Lynn is seeing something you will damage any strop cupped or not ,, they will take care of the paddle issues but you need to get the razor looked at tc
