Is there anything I can do to repair this?!?
Is it a cut?
I don't think so, it's more like a scrape, want me to take a better photo?
Just looks like some sort of mark.
So it'll still be alright to strop with ?
Cheers man
Jacob I moved your thread to a different section. And to reiterate the above comments your strop is just fine. : )
What you need to determine is how did you get that Minor scrape (is really nothing, strop on)
Did you hit the strop with the stabilizer? or perhaps the toe of the blade, slow down and watch.
If you don't feel it when your stropping it isn't there. Looks like a nice strop be careful.
If you don’t feel it with you nail, its ok.
It will probably un-compress with the humidity in the air in a couple of weeks.
Yea, the big question is how did that happen, and don’t do that again.
Rubbing the strop with your palm once a day might help homogenize the color and make the scrape less noticeable. If you saw my daily driver you'd think it looked like the Alaska highway, 23" of bad road ......... :)
Yes, you can get surprisingly good edges from a scared up strop.
The razor rides on just the tops as long as any damage does not catch the edge.
Strop with lite pressure.
Wiping with a damp paper towel will add enough moisture to swell it out, but I would not worry about it.
Go slow, keep the spine on the strop at all times, use lite pressure and stop before you flip.
