I like the integral handle shape on this one. Nice simplistic design. Is this leather on both sides, or leather/linen?
I've been toying with the idea of "re-leathering" older strops for guys who have inherited those with nostalgic value. I have seen such nice vintage hardware on really worn out strops and it would be nice to salavge some this way.

same handle and hardwear, I cut the same handle into my first home made strop.
It might be fine if you throw some neats foot oil on it.
If not, send it to Tony to re leather it.

45 cm to the beggining of the handle.
The handle (beggining of Taper to end of strop) is 12 cm.
6 cm wide.
The ball of the handle is 5 cm at its widest.
Both sides are horse hide (stamped), and on one side "The T.G. Riordan MFG. Co. Standard Razor Strops Chicago" is stamped. On the other "T.G.&L.N.W. Union Made 16" is stamped.
My dad estimates that it was bought in the 1900's.

I'm going to try to rub the cuts out with a pumice stone and recondition the leather.
Tractor Supply has a quart of neats foot oil for $7.35.
Good for shoes, gloves, jackets, rifle slings, holsters, belts and lots of other stuff.
Works wonders on horn scales when you start collecting old razors too!
