Hello,
I'm getting my first strop in a day or two. Are there videos on stropping on this website?
Please provide instructions to view them and/or links.
Thank you,

Razor stropping - Shave Library
I like there two. There are very clear about how to strop. There are a ton of stropping videos about look how fast I can Strop, and speed is neither needed nor recommended for the new person.
Look in the Library under Maintaining Straight Razors. Read the Razor Stropping article
and then watch the video by AFDavis at the end.
Also, there are many examples on youtube:

Just remember that your first strop should be an inexpensive one. When you are learning to strop, it is likely that you will nick or scratch your learner strop. So your first strop should be one that you won't mind damaging.
You can purchase an inexpensive strop, either new or vintage, or you can make your own strop from an old piece of cloth (like khakis or blue jeans or an old car seat belt) or you can use an old belt as long as the leather is clean. For a newby, a 3" strop is easier to use than a narrower one as you can use straight strokes rather than x-strokes. I still prefer 3" strops, but many like 2"- 2 1/2" strops.
Once you develop the muscle memory needed to properly time the stroke and flip, then you can purchase the strop or strops you really want.
I know it's a sad fact of life for some newbs but with that logic you should also buy a razor you don't mind damaging because any time you catch an edge on the leather it is quite likely it will also damage the razor.
My recommendation would be to practice your dexterity skills first by learning how to flip the razor or a even rolling a pencil or butterknife. Then go & make a strop out of a sheet of newspaper & secure it with a clip so you have a "practice strop". It is easier to practice the "roll" on the newspaper as it gives some support.
