me, its my new old shell from that old Japanese strop maker, circa during WW 2 I leave my Neil Miller up and covered for special occasions, and my Kanayam gets its share of the work,, its my go to. but the question was if you only had one,, well that old shell is the one, more character than should be allowed, and even has the thumb spot worn dark and slick from that old amn stropping a few thousands of times, plus its one of the finer draws ive ever had Tc
I only have three strops.
But...
If I had to choose one it would definitely be my Tony Miller Heirloom Fast Bridle strop.
It has been strop of choice for years.

Although I've been eyeing the Scrupleworks' 2.5" oil tanned horween and linen, as my veg tanned cowhide with worsted wool component is quite scuffed up. Still going strong though.
I still like my "beginners" Dovo strop in all honesty and still use it a lot
the different scent strop is also very good, but lacks a linen component
kanayama also very good and a pleasure to strop on, linen component is not my favorite

I would probably say my kanayama 30k. I like the size and it gets the job done. I have suede backing which I am big fan of
I currently have four strops, a latigo, a Tony Miller fast bridle, a Griffith Shaving shell, and a SRD Roo strop. I enjoy using all four of them. In fact, I normally use two fabric components (25 laps each) and all four leather components (25 laps each) before every shave. I usually start with the Latigo, but after that, the sequence could be in any order. All of them work. If I had to chose only one, it would be the Griffith Shaving shell strop, partly because I like the performance of the shell cordovan, but also because I love the fabric component. The Tony Miller and SRD strops have a similar premium cotton component, but the Griffith Shaving cotton strop is far superior to the others.
