paddle strop confiscated at airport
Hello Everyone,
I've been using a paddle strop from SRD that I posted about earlier.
Recently, I needed to travel away from home for about a month so I decided to bring the paddle strop with me. However I was packing until the last second and ran out of space with the check-in bag, so without thinking too much I put it in my carry-on.
I was on a domestic flight and the TSA agents at the Denver Airport decided to confiscate it since they said it can be used as a blunt force object, like, you can hit someone over the head with it. In my opinion is pretty ridiculous reason since you can hit someone over the head with a laptop too, and they allow those in carry-on. I was close to missing my flight, unfortunately, so didn't have time to argue over it, plus even if I did don't think it would have helped. Anyway, that really sucks cause I can't get that strop anymore. They did let me keep the leather portion of it though, so I've just been putting it in my hand and stropping that way, which is not ideal.
