Stropping over the Logo?

This may be something that has been discussed many times but I didn't find it with a search. I'm wondering if it is ok to strop the razor over the logo branded into the top of the strop? It is something that I try not to do; however, I catch myself inevitably doing it almost everytime I strop, at least once or twice in 40-60 strokes. There's a part of me that thinks it's probably ok. But there is that other part of me that convinces myself to start over.

So, do most try to avoid the logo? Or is it something that is considered to be harmless?

Not that far off from what most of us has done in the past. Found that if I slowed down a little, I stayed in the middle.

Great question! I've always wondered myself. I try to avoid it purely because I don't want the blade to reach anything beyond the leather stropping surface.
