I have one of Tony Miller's beautiful red latigo and canvas strops. I know there is much debate over the efficacy of either canvas or linen, but ever since I made the choice of canvas, I have been wondering if I would see more of an effect if I had chosen linen.
Has anyone compared linen and canvas and noticed a difference in performance?
there is a thread to this somewhere here but i dont think that the average person will notice any difference between the both of them, i have them both and although the linen feels more abrasive i dont know for sure if one is better than the other
If one really is better it's by such a small margin that I doubt it even an experienced use could tell in a "blind" test...even more so if you put anything on them (soap, chalk, or any of the normal stuff).
