If the nicks have flaps that you can lift. Contact cement is a great fix for those. If there isn't any flaps, you can sand down the nicks with either a ordinary pumice stone or 150 grit sandpaper.Quote:

ok, i'll try the sanding, anything else to be done after it's sanded down?
It sounds as if sanding will take care of the problem. Rubbing the area with your hand after sanding will deposit enough oil to take of the fresh area.:gl:Quote:

Anybody who says they have a strop with no nicks is either single or tells fibs.
Incidentally, if you just cut them out, you'll never notice the effect on your edge.
