Hey all,
So is it strange that I find stropping to be a magnificently pleasurable activity? I have today off, and I've spent a lot of it so far just stropping a razor (both on my strop and on my forearm actually!). Then I go around my girlfriend's condo looking for loose hair of her's to cut. So all I've done today is post on here, strop and pop hairs with my razor! (That should be the slogon here: Post, Strop and Pop). Am I sick??

BTW there have been many times that i have sat in frustration wondering why my beard won't grow faster so i can try out another razor. this may be weird but i do have some bald patches on my legs now :rofl2:

I have heard about individuals who love stroping on other straight razor forums, its not unusal. Personally its not the stropping that like to do so much as the actual shave.
I strop when I'm bored. Its really fun for me too. I wish my beard grew faster so I could shave more often. Like twice a day lol. :rofl2:
Maybe there's an herbal remedy to take to make our beards grow faster, cause I got the disease also! And you know what, I LOVE it!!!:tu

Stropping, Shaving, Sex. The results & practice are great but it's always a bit sad that it has to end.
It all started when I learned to shave with a straight razor and couldn't grow facial hair fast enough!!!

hay i think mowing the lawn is therapeutic for me... time to think.. but i have a riding mower. i got distracted one time and ran into my basketball goal post...ONCE... i fixed it and now and think looking straigh ahead and not while trying to see who's pulling up across the street.
For all those who've said they wish they could get their beards to grow faster, I have good news. I once read a scientific study that concluded that beard hairs do indeed grow faster when one is sexually excited. The rise in testosterone gives rise to other bodilly features, such as whiskers. The solution then is simple. Just refrain from sex and you will be in a constant state of faster growth! Of course, your wife, girl friend or significant other may be a bit frustrated. Hopefully, she'll understand.

I made the mistake of testing my razor on the back of my hand where I rest my chin when I'm daydreaming at my desk. No big problem in itself, except for when the hair starts to grow back and it's really prickly. Guess I will just have to test on that bit of my hand again.
