Hanging a hanging strop
Good news for those of you who have trouble hanging a hanging strop:
I decided to try out hanging my strop on my composite on a 3M "Command Utensil Hook" with the adhesive pad. Not only does it adhere well enough to hang my strop, but its strong enough that I can apply enough tension to the strop and hook to strop my razor, and it doesn't come off. Plus, I was able to put it at the right height so I can comfortably strop.
Just an FYI for those who may not have hooks at a comfortable height.

Good idea. I thought of that but I did not think it would work. What is the maximum weight allowance for the ones you are using?
I just put an Eye bolt into the wall.

I thought about drilling an eye hook into a wall, but I can't really because I live in an apartment. The hooks are only supposed to hold .5 lbs of weight, but I've stropped on it 3 times with no problems yet.

I live in an apartment too. We have already been told that they are gutting the place when we move cause it is under new management and we live in an older one.

Ah nice. The owners of the building don't want us to drill or nail into the wall. Hence, why I went with the sticky and hook from CVS

The 3M adhesive will fail eventually (or the paint will come off). Check at Home Depot or the like for towel hooks. You can probably find one that matches the rest of the fixtures in the bathroom. They'll never notice it.
Oh yea, when the hook fails just freeze. Don't try to catch anything :)

I got no where to hang mine so I just use a heavier model plastic hanger it is mobile and can temporarily be put anywhere like on a towel bar or door knob etc, and do the stropping where ever desired, not the fanciest solution but it works

Haha thanks quick! Wouldn't want to lose a finger! :chop:

I attached an eye hook underneath the sink counter, so when I move, there will be a hole, but it won't be visable.
