I recently bought a 3" Tony Miller strop. It is beautiful, and does a great job. It is my first and only strop (I am a newbie) but I think the 3" was the right choice for me (and well worth the money). Your craftsmanship is excellent!

I have been meaning to give a shout-out to Tony for a while, too. I have the apprentice strop, and was enjoying it so-so, when I decided last week to replenish the oils in it. My bathroom is very arid* and the strop had, it turns out, dried out a lot. I rubbed mink oil into it, and wiped off the excess. Two days after, when I went to strop my Non XLL, that strop is unbelievably smooth, with a fantastic draw on it. The strop is a keeper, a really beautiful piece of leather!
* Hopefully I get some points for using the mot du jour "arid"!
A shout out to Tony from me too! I received my Tony Miller New Standard 3" Red Latigo with Smooth Cotton (with practice strop) last weekend and it definitely looks great. The quality is top notch. I've used the smooth cotton but haven't touched the 3" leather yet. Sticking to the practice strop for now!
His service is also fantastic. He helped me through my purchase and answered a few questions I had that I'm sure he's heard a hundred times, but he didn't make me feel like I was being bothersome. Great guy! Thanks Tony!
It is incredible, there is nothing fancy about TM strops, but they are just SO well made, thay exude a remarkable air of quality and craftsmanship. I have a Starter strop, and a 3" Artisan, and they are both fantastic pieces of equipment!!!!
You can't go wrong with a Tony Miller strop . I have a 2-1/2" Artisan red latigo , and I recently bought a box strop kit from Tony , both of these products exceeded my expectations (which were high) . Thanks Tony :tu !
I've thanked Tony many times myself. His work speaks for itself. He's a true Gentleman. I have the same 3" Red Latigo. I love it, His Flatbed Paddles are awesome too ! Rich
I decided to upgrade my 3" Artisan Latigo/cotton strop and Toni Miller sent me replacements of smooth horsehide and genuine linen. When I got the replacements I decided not to replace and added the two pieces to my strop. So I made an 3" Artisan "Quattro Strop" (latigo/cotton/linen/horsehide) and it works very well. Thank`s again, Toni!

Tony Miller's strops are the best!! It's a no brainer to buy one of his great products. :tu :tu
Great concept and a strop saver. Made plenty of mistakes on the practice strop. Such a great idea! It has done wonders for the Standard strop I bought....by taking all the nicks i'd have given it.
Great work and concepts.

I just ordered my first strop , It should be here this week. I ordered a Tony Miller 3" Artesian with practice strop.
Love my Tony Miller Strops.... very well done indeed:tu
Using my very capable kenrup trainer, and looking forward to my Tony Miller in the (near?) future!!!
(insert lusty apprehension here)
I thought, for sure, that I'd never nick a strop.... :)
I'm brand new to straight-razor shaving, though I've been wet shaving all my life. There is a bit of gear to buy to get into this hobby and the expenses quickly mount, I've had to be careful with my purchases.
This Wednesday I purchased Tony's 3" Heirloom model with Latigo and Canvas, based on what I'd read elsewhere. I figure it's best to bite the price bullet once for quality gear that delivers outstanding performance, then be happy with it for the rest of my life. Or as I've read, buy quality and cry once, buy non-quality and cry many times.
Based on what I'm reading here about Tony's leather, I'm now doubly glad I purchased my strop from him. Maybe it will arrive today. :y I can't wait to try it out.
Robb Welcome
I'll add to the long list of Tony fans. I have his 3'' latigo and what a strop. I'm comparing it to the premium expensive Dovo. What a difference in craftsmanship and I really love Dovo products. Jeremy-
Thanks for the warm welcomes. I appreciate those. Well, the strop didn't arrive today, but I did get a heavy package from Shaving Essentials, so it was a very good day. I can't wait to see Tony's strop next week. I'm sure it will be impressive.
Robb, I waited at the mailbox today as well and mine didnt show up either.
I'm new to straight shaving and I'm currently waiting on my first strop which happens to be from Tony Miller. I'm a man who appreciates handmade products and after reading his website I knew that's the one I had to buy. After reading all these positive replies about TM I feel like I made a good decision.
HT Welcome to the forum, you picked a good place lot of knowledgeable folks here.
TM strops will last a lifetime. Thanks Tony
I just got my Heirloom tri-strop 2" from Tony Miller. I noticed the great Craftsmanship at once.
Yesterday morning I put it to the test:
Wow! This is a great strop. It brought my stropping to a whole different level.
:D
My Jamico strop is good, but the strop from Tony Miller in a completely different league. I didn't think that the difference would be THAT great. I'm impressed.
I'm giving away my Jamico strop to one of my nephews.
If someone is reading this tread and wondering what strop they should buy:
The Heirloom strop is well worth the money (Including shipping and VAT to Norway in my case).
If you think you can't afford the Heirloom strop now, strop on newspapers or an old pair of jeans while you save up money to buy one. It IS THAT good. :tu
This is one great product. Thanks Tony! :bow
