Tony Miller Strop. WOW !

Well my TM strop came today, I have to say this is my first strop and have nothing else to compare it to but you dont have to be an expert to see that this a very well made product. It was packaged in a plastic sleeve inside a nice box. As soon as I saw it I said man this is made nice. All the heads on the Chicago screws are turned the same way, the handles are perfect and are very comfortable to hold, Leather is cut perfect with a nice edge detail, Hardware is nice quality. Linen side looks perfect and even the practice strop is the same Red Latigo. The 3" perfectly covers the razor so I didnt have to do anything crazy , I did 20 on the linen side then 20 on the leather side, Everything felt great but I stopped because this strop is so pretty I didnt want to scuff it up just yet.:y

Your going to love that strop. I'v had mind for five months now. I just ordered a matching cotton only strop from Tony to paste up. I mounted a hook about waist level that goes into a stud in my bathroom & it works great for hanging. I cant weight to add my matching cotton only strop.

Always good to see another TM strop owner! I love mine, hope yours gives you some good decades of use! =)

The longer I am a member at SRP, the more impressed I am by Tony Miler - I honestly do not think I have ever once heard a single negative thing about Tony's products, craftsmanship, or customer service.

The plastic sleeve packaging and attention to detail indicates that Tony is at the top of his game and delivers the Rolls Royce of Strops.

PS-his packaging says alot about his products and the pride he takes in his offerings. Colleen Churley's shaving soaps are another example of pride in work. hmm off topic..heh heh Speaking of which it is time for me to order more of her shaving soaps...MB

Already putting the TM strop to good use, for light work and keeping things in Order I use the 3" Red Latigo Practice Strop

When things really get out of control I use the 3" Latigo/ Linen

Mike,

You did good ! You don't anything else to compare it to. Tony's stuff is great. I have his 3" Artisan as well, plus two paddles pasted....I love all of them....

Yes she knows and had no problem with me posting the G rated pics, the others got deleted by her as soon as she saw them on her camera.

Not only does Tony make superb strops, he is also gentleman enough to post thanks on almost all of the positive remarks about him on here. Tony, we won't hold it against you if you don't say thanks all the time. Lol, we don't want you to tire your hands too much. Many people need the craftsmanship those hands provide for us all. Received my Tony Miller 3" Heirloom Strop yesterday and was blown away by the quality and craftsmanship.The attention to detail is obvious from the first time you open it up.And then using it is just awesome compared to the junky strop I had before.To anyone who is considering an Heirloom Strop,It's worth the extra money and whatever small wait is involved to get one.You won't be sorry.

I am in the same boat, I had been waiting for the 3" latigo/horsehide/cotton to be back in stock and it was worth the wait! Everything Mike said is right on and mirrors my experience exactly (although I haven't attempted hitching it up to the wife just yet ):rofl2:

This is my first strop as well, I decided to go all out and I am glad I did. Thanks Tony!

I'm guessing that the other end of the strop got attached to the stove, it looks like you were beating her cause she was out of the kitchen!

Ok, sorry just a joke. I'm actually big on women's rights. I think they should be let out of the kitchen at least twice a day...

No Im just joking, I have been with this woman 10 years and she's is the best woman a guy could ask for, We live a very peacefull lifestyle and we have a lot of fun together. As long as she doesnt start talking marrage everything will be just fine.

Mr. Miller I just received your strop in the mail yesterday. I bet I'm the only one in Iraq with a Tony Miller strop. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but, I can tell by looking at it and the feel of it that it's top shelf quality. Thanks and I look forward to doing business with you in the future. Take care.
