Using strop pasted with stick Chromium Ox

I had the same question posted here about applying the chromium oxide that comes in the stubby green stick form....and I thank those who answered.

My questions have to do with the "what now"...after I've pasted my strop: When and how much stropping do I do on my coated strop (in my case a leather bench strop)?
It glides so nicely I could go a long time.
Is this what I go to when the razor seems a bit grabby? Is it used like a "super strop" to be used periodically....once a week or more/less frequently ( I shave 6 xs a week)? As you can see...this newbie is more in the dark and could benefit from your answers.
By the way, I bought 2 shave ready razors from very reliable sources, Ken R and Max; I've been sr saving for 2 weeks with little or no need for a pass with my de; I strop on cotton a little and always on leather before each use. And that my friends is about the sum of my experience (my hones are untouched!).

I would be conservative with your stropping on the pasted strop. If I want a smoother razor after honing, I usually just do 5-10 laps tops on my chromium oxide pasted paddle strop. For a touch up I would suggest the same. It's really tempting to just keep on stropping, I know! If you feel you need a little more, then add a few more laps. It's easy to strop more if the edge needs it, but it's kind of hard to strop less once the damage is already done!

If you strop on the cotton a lot and always on the leather before each use, then those hones and that chromium can go untouched for a very long time...
