Hi guys.
I plan to get a better strop this summer. I hesitate between a TM Artisan (Latigo and cotton) or SRD's Latigo/Webbed fabric.
What are your toughts?
EDIT: Prices (shipping to Canada included) are quite similar, so it's even harder.

Both are such good quality strops, you can't
go wrong. I'm tempted to say that I like the
webbed fabric better than cotton, but not as
much as I like Tony's genuine linen.

I have the 3" Red Latigo w/ Cotton Canvas Tony Miller and really have been happy with it in every way.Good quality and craftsmanship, backed up by rarely seen customer service.Of course, since I don't own the SRD strops I wouldn't know if they are just as good.
Both are equally good. That's is a hard choice. SRD has black and red Latigo, Tony has only Red to my knowledge, so maybe that'll help ya out a little. SRD may cost less.
Both strops are hand made quality, with work done my Amish...
I'm with AROLOIVER59. I don't own a SRP but the Red Latigo is excellent.
I have a TM Latigo and a couple of SRD strops. TM and SRD both provide great service and superior products. I think that SRD has a wider range of strop materials and options at more favorable pricing. One more thing I can tell you is that I prefer my SRD Premium to any Latigo. That's a personal preference, but I sticking to it. It's a great strop.
I think you won't go wrong either way with the red latigo. I think that the options OTHER than the latigo are what will determine the choice - horsehide and genuine linen is only available with TM, while SRD has the premium leather, webbed and wool fabric.
Another TM 3" latigo owner here, with genuine linen of course. Can't go wrong with that. However I don't have an SRD so I can't comment on that. SRD's checkout is a more consumer friendly system (since I last checked Tony's site anyway) so whether or not thats important is up to you.
I just ordered a 3" Latigo with Linen.
Its a tough choice. Good luck with it.
